IMAGE CONSENT

By participating in an HVPC event, you grant full rights for HVPC to use any images or video taken  during the event for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the Club’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use images in  printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.

SAFETY RECOMMENDATION

HVPC strongly recommends that all paddlers review the kayak skills training videos shared by NSW Sea Kayak Club, especially the following rescue videos:

  • Assisted Rescue - The assisted rescue is used to help another kayaker re-enter their kayak after a capsize. A good rescue is efficient, with no injuries or damaged equipment.
  • Self Rescue - Self rescue is a method of getting yourself back into the kayak after capsizing.  This is essential if you plan to paddle alone.

If you would like to practice rescue skills during the rec paddle, please speak with the paddle leader on the day.
